“There is no place like the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons

G. Viscogliosi. “The musculoskeletal/orthopedic community consistently
places the needs of the patient first and foremost with every device
they design, technique they develop, and educational class they teach.

and we are honored to participate at the AAOS annual meeting for the
third year in a row, especially since this year’s meeting marks

at the Marina Village Conference Center in San Diego, California.
Speaking about the First Albany Capital conference, Mr. Viscogliosi
said, “Judging from this year’s line-up of impressive public
and private presenting companies, it promises to be a tremendous event.
Small Bone Innovations had a record-setting year on many fronts in 2006.
I look forward to sharing with the FAC attendees, the great strides
we made to serve small bone & joint surgeons and their patients,
as well as many of the exciting plans we have for 2007.”
THE MAGNIFICENT 7
On Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at 5:30pm Pacific time, Small Bone Innovations
will be one of seven global orthopedic companies to participate in a
ground-breaking event, as The Magnifi Group, featuring their patent-pending
3D Interactive Technology Platform, will host over 140 leading orthopedic
surgeons for a surgical techniques presentation. SBi Founder, Chairman
& CEO Anthony G. Viscogliosi will be on hand to introduce SBi Corporate
Medical Advisory Board Chairman and World-renowned surgeon, Dr. William
Cooney, Professor Emeritus, Rochester, Minnesota’s Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Cooney will be presenting the SBi RE-MOTION™ Total Wrist System
- an anatomically designed implant requiring no resection of the distal
radius.
This invitation-only event, featuring guest speaker and legendary Chicago
Bears player and coach, Mike Ditka, will be held at San Diego’s
Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel.
Commenting on The Magnificent 7 event, Mr. Viscogliosi said, “It
is truly remarkable to think that in only 2 short years, Small Bone
Innovations, Inc. has created an entire industry – The Small Bone
& Joint Industry. And now, we are proud to share the stage at this
prestigious event with the likes of Stryker, Smith & Nephew, DePuy
Spine and Biomet. It all goes to show that there has always been an
unmet need to address the diseases of the upper and lower limbs, and
the global orthopedic community has finally taken notice of something
we began to address years ago.”
UNI-ELBOW™ INSTRUCTIONAL COURSE
Dr. Bernard F. Morrey, Professor of Orthopedics, Mayo Clinic College
of Medicine, will lead the SBi UNI-Elbow™ Radio Capitellum System
Instructional course entitled “Surgical Techniques & Short
Term Results for Radio Capitellum Resurfacing Procedure” on Wednesday
evening, February 14, 2007 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Pacific time at the
Omni San Diego Hotel. A buffet dinner will be provided.
Mr. Viscogliosi, speaking about the SBi instructional course, said,
“The SBi UNI-Elbow™ Radio Capitellum System is designed
specifically for Uni-Compartmental Arthroplasty. The implant is indicated
for degenerative joint diseases, the correction of functional deformities,
for revision procedures where other treatments have failed, and for
treatment of fractures that are unmanageable using other techniques.
Particularly when used with SBi’s Precise Guidance Technology™
(PGT) Instrumentation, a proprietary instrument system designed to facilitate
correct anatomical placement and a simple, easy to follow technique,
small bone & joint surgeons will find this elbow system to be extremely
advantageous to the patients and their practice. We could not have a
found a better advocate for our UNI-Elbow™ than someone as accomplished
and distinguished as Dr. Morrey.”

Herring magazine’s annual “Red Herring 100 North America”
award, recognized as one of the nation’s leading technology companies
and the only orthopedic device company selected among an initial entry
of more than one thousand firms. Additionally, SBi’s Artelon CMC-I
